Jordan began his studies at Camosun College and then transferred to UVic’s B.Ed program. As a graduate of the B.Ed program, his specialty areas are in the humanities and visual arts. He has several years of experience with electronics, computer design, wood and metal working as well.
Jordan got started teaching in BC’s Cariboo-Chilcotin in Spring of 2007. He has also taught overseas in Thailand and Macao, China.
From August 2009 to July 2013, Jordan taught at the International School of Macao (TIS), a private -non profit Alberta curriculum offshore school, in Macao SAR, China.
Jordan currently works in the Sooke School District (SD62) teaching Applied Skills and Technology, wood working and Mathematics for middle school. In the past 2 years, Jordan has pioneered a STEM (Science Technology Engineering and Mathematics) focus in his classroom. His rocketry program has been highly successful for his students, receiving coverage from the Goldstream Gazette, Times Colonist and BC Tech Ed Association. Jordan holds professional teaching licenses for British Columbia, Alberta and Ontario. Jordan tutors World History, History of Visual Arts, Social Studies, English, WorkSafe BC and Industry approved courses.
